“When someone really hears you without passing judgment on you, without trying to take responsibility for you, without trying to mould you, it feels damn good.”
Carl Rogers
I want to provide a safe place and a professional relationship in which you can explore what is going on for you; a space for you to talk, share and be heard at your pace, without judgement.
I don't list the issues or problems I feel I am skilled or capable of helping with. I work with human beings and I believe my attitude, skills, theory and compassionate approach will help you.
There is a possibility you don't quite know what your issue is, you don't have a clear view into your distress. You just know you need to do something about how you are in your world. I am here to help.
I am an experienced talking therapist, I have trained as a person-centred counsellor. I have extra trainings in bereavement counselling and adult professional supervision.
I worked for 10 years in a crisis service before I became a psychotherapist. I have been working for the past 4 years with traumatised clients.
I want you to know that, whatever it is you arrive with, you're welcome. You'll be listened to acutely and carefully, and we can look at ways of bringing soothing, change, growth, and healing.
Discussing your access requirements is important to me, and I endeavour to make sure every client has equal and fair access and opportunities to attend.
I will be meeting with you in my counselling room in Calverley LS28 Leeds, West Yorkshire UK.
Details of directions, parking and public transport links are shared at the enquiry stage.
